Abstract

Perovskite solar cells are a promising substitute because of unique material properties, relatively simple manufacturing, as well as potential for high efficiency. Methylammonium copper bromide (MA<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>CuBr<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">4</inf>) is recognized as a notable perovskite material, exhibiting properties conducive to solar cell applications, attributed to its superior luminescence, tunable bandgap, and enhanced stability. In this work, a solar cell demonstrating an efficiency of 35.50% was developed utilizing MA<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>CuBr<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">4</inf> as the absorber layer, within a device architecture comprising glass substrate/fluorine-doped tin oxide/TiO<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>/MA<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>CuBr<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">4</inf>/Spiro-OMeTAD/back contact.
