Comparative Analysis for Energy Disaggregation

The “Home Energy Guardian” is an innovative IoT-based system designed to monitor, analyze, and optimize daily electricity usage. This project integrates AC current and voltage sensors to measure real-time power consumption, providing precise data on energy usage. The system updates the collected data on an Android application, enabling users to monitor their electricity usage conveniently. An IoT-enabled microcontroller processes the sensor data and sends it to the Android app via Wi-Fi, The app displays energy consumption trends, identifies high-usage appliances, and suggests ways to optimize power usage. A user-friendly LCD display is included in the system to provide instant feedback on energy metrics locally. To promote energy efficiency, the system incorporates a relay module to enable remote control of appliances through the Android app. Users can switch devices on or off based on usage patterns or predefined schedules, reducing unnecessary power consumption. This project aims to empower users to manage their electricity usage more effectively, reducing energy bills and promoting sustainable living. The combination of real-time monitoring, IoT connectivity, and automation ensures a smarter, more efficient approach to household energy management
