Machine Learning Technique for Forest Tree Enumeration Using Aerial Images
Keeping track of trees in a forest is no easy task. Traditional methods take a lot of time, effort, and often lead to inaccurate results. This system makes the process smarter by using drones and machine learning. The drone flies through the forest, weaving between trees, capturing high-resolution images. These images are then analyzed to count trees, identify species, and assess forest health. With real-time data, conservationists, researchers, and policymakers can make better decisions to protect and manage forests effectively. By reducing manual work and improving accuracy, this technology makes large-scale monitoring easier and more efficient. Whether for small reserves or vast national parks, it adapts to different needs, ensuring forests are well-managed and resources are used sustainably. This innovative approach not only saves time but also helps in preserving biodiversity, making it a valuable tool for protecting our environment.
