Smart Health Monitoring for Industrial Workers: A Predictive IoT Solution for COPD and Asthma

This project introduces an efficient IoT-based healthcare system that is capable of real-time monitoring and managing COPD and asthma patients in industrial settings. The system utilizes IoT-based respiratory health bands to measure and monitor vital parameters like oxygen saturation, pulse rate, and breathing rate. Through a mobile application, the system enables active health monitoring and provides information through an individual respiratory care interface. A key feature of the system is the integration of environmental monitoring sensors to prevent potential respiratory triggers and alert the user when needed. Leveraging machine learning and regression analysis of the historical health and environmental data, the system sends advance notifications predicting a probable respiratory episode so that necessary actions can be taken. It also incorporates recurring interventions concerning alerts and helps the patient to manage their condition more effectively. In cases of emergency, where the important vital signs have an anomaly, the system sends a notification immediately to the phone through the application. During complex emergencies, the system will notify the industrial management and hospitals within reach. Patients can self-manage their conditions efficiently with this all-in-one solution.
