Enhancing Healthcare Efficiency: E-Prescription and Patient Data Management System

The progress of digital medicine has resulted in the adoption of electronic prescription (e-prescription) systems, which improve efficiency, security, and accessibility of hospital management. This paper discusses an e-prescription system combined with a hospital management database with secure authentication for various user roles: patients, physicians, pharmacists, and administrators. The system supports easy medication management, monitors stock quantities, tracks expired medicines, and maintains effective communication among healthcare providers. The suggested system enhances the delivery of healthcare through automated tracking of prescriptions, improved data security, and minimized medication errors. The solution differs from conventional systems in that it provides role-based access control for administrators, pharmacists, doctors, and patients, safeguarding confidential medical information. The suggested system monitors stock levels, tracks expired drugs, and offers real-time alerts to avoid medication shortages or dispensing expired medication. By removing handwritten prescriptions, the system eliminates misinterpretations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to healthcare regulations. The system not only automates prescription processing but also securely stores patient health records, allowing for a more integrated approach to patient care.
