V2V Communication for Accident Detection and Alert System Using Microstrip Antenna
As vehicular communication networks continue to expand, the need for efficient and reliable antennas has become increasingly important. Microstrip patch antennas are widely preferred due to their compact form, lightweight design, and ease of integration into modern vehicles. This project focuses on the design and simulation of a 5.8 GHz microstrip patch antenna for Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication, enabling seamless data transmission to enhance road safety and traffic efficiency. The antenna is developed using CST Studio Suite, with an emphasis on optimizing parameters such as gain, return loss, directivity, and radiation efficiency. Operating in the 5.8 GHz spectrum, which is commonly utilized for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), the proposed design ensures real-time connectivity for applications like collision avoidance and autonomous vehicle navigation. With its high performance, cost-effectiveness, and ease of fabrication, this antenna presents a practical and scalable solution for next-generation vehicular communication networks.
