Wind Power Forecasting with Machine Learning: A Comprehensive Overview
Renewable energy is steadily replacing non-renewable energy sources like coal, oil, water, etc. as a primary source of energy. One of nature's numerous and economical gifts is wind electricity. Energy balance at the electrical grid point requires that energy generation and consumption to be equal. Forecasting is required for the reliable, effective, and safe power systems functionalities since the wind is erratic and intermittent. This paper provides a succinct overview of the many types and techniques for wind forecasting that use neural networks, machine learning, and hybrid models.
