Collab Vivasayi: Enhancing Agricultural Livelihoods Through Online Marketplaces and Consumer-Direct Relationships

More than half of the population still relies on farming as their main source of income, yet only a small fraction of farmers manage to make profits. This issue arises from excessive dependence on intermediaries and brokers, who control prices, resulting in minimal earnings for farmers and inflated costs for consumers. To tackle these issues, Vivasayi introduced an innovative app designed to create direct connections between farmers and consumers, eliminate middlemen, and promote a fairer marketplace. The application, which was built using Flutter, boasts an intuitive and visually pleasing interface. Firebase serves as the backend framework to ensure robust security, whereas machine-learning algorithms enhance the platform by examining user behavior and product quality to offer personalized, intelligent recommendations. Vivasayi sought to transform the agricultural industry by harnessing advanced technology and encouraging direct farmer-consumer interactions. This platform aims to empower farmers with improved financial returns, enhance market efficiency, and build trust among stakeholders, ultimately leading to a sustainable and thriving agricultural ecosystem.
