Facial Skin Recognition Technology Applied for Personalized Skincare Products

A Skin Care Routine Support System is crucial for preserving health of one's facial skin. Accurately determining one's skin type requires a thorough grasp of the mix of skin problems. For people who have trouble identifying their particular skin conditions and lack in-depth knowledge of skin symptoms, determining ones skin type can be difficult. To address this, we propose a method that utilizes object detection for facial skin recognition as a decision-support system in skincare routines. Our technology determines user's skin type by analyzing information provided by the user via an image file, including user's sleeping habits, age, skin blemishes etc. Furthermore, we recommend incorporating a patch test module within the software, as it addresses safety and health concerns for users. Before recommending a specific set of chemical ingredients, this module assesses whether the user's skin is allergic to them. It is advisable for the user to try a low-cost sample product before applying the full product. The system also tracks the user's previous purchases, allergy reports, currently used products, sleeping patterns, dietary habits, and water intake schedules.
