Enhanced Lung Tumor Detection Using U.L.T.R.O.N: A Hybrid Approach Using AI Techniques
The Unified Lung Tumor Recognition and Optimization Network (U.L.T.R.O.N) enhances lung tumor detection and segmentation from CT scans using the power of sophisticated machine learning. By combining Support Vector Machines (SVM) with both Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and neural networks, U.L.T.R.O.N yields significantly improved performance compared to state-of-the-art methods in identifying tumors. PCA reduces the dimensionality of image information that otherwise may be far too complicated to be computationally represented; features contained within reduced dimensionality are not lost. SVM identifies a tumor correctly as benign or malignant, while neural networks further enrich the output by recognizing complex patterns in data that allow for timely and accurate detection. More importantly, U.L.T.R.O.N builds detailed, complex 3D models of tumors, providing crucial geometric information, improving treatment protocols tailored to specific conditions. This approach is particularly new in medical imaging and precision healthcare and makes intelligent use of artificially intelligent machines to provide greater benefits to the patients.
