IoT-Based Smart Agriculture Monitoring and Automated Irrigation System for Efficient Farming
Traditional irrigation systems often lead to water and energy wastage. An IoT-based automated irrigation system has been designed to provide a better alternative in terms of energy and water consumption. The system is mainly based on the Arduino Uno and several sensors. The sensors monitor the environmental parameters and send them to the Arduino. Arduino processes that data, and based on the data, it automatically turns on the water pump. The data have also been sent to the Blynk app so that users can access them from anywhere and monitor the whole process. The system also monitors the water usage and sends it to a Google Sheet that can help in the future to develop a power scheduling system for a farm. As the whole system has been automated, it reduces the intervention of humans and also reduces the unwanted use of water.
