Abstract

The role of cultural heritage as a unifying factor in the process of territorial community consolidation is studied using the example of the community of Prykarpattia. Historical and cultural aspects of the region that contribute to the formation of a common identity and social cohesion of the population are analyzed. The impact of tangible and intangible cultural heritage on the architectural and planning structure, social integration, local economy and tourism potential of the community is considered. Special attention is paid to the challenges and opportunities for preserving and popularizing cultural traditions in the context of administrative and territorial reform. One of the key resources for the harmonious unification of territorial communities is their cultural heritage - both tangible and intangible. However, despite its significant potential, the preservation and integration of cultural heritage into the modern development of the community remains a difficult task. Problems arise with proper financing, protection of architectural and historical monuments, popularization of traditions, as well as with the involvement of the local population in the process of preserving cultural identity. The lack of clear strategies for using cultural heritage in community management can lead to the loss of valuable historical and cultural sites, the decline of folk traditions and the weakening of regional identity. At the same time, the effective use of cultural potential contributes to social cohesion, the development of local tourism, the activation of civil society and the formation of a positive image of the community. The purpose of the article is to study the role of cultural heritage as a unifying factor in the process of territorial community consolidation using the example of the Pechenizhyn territorial community of Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The paper analyzes how cultural traditions, historical and architectural monuments, folk crafts and local identity contribute to social cohesion and the formation of a common regional consciousness.
