The concept of socionical and spatial organization of the Ukraine ethnic regions

In the article, the authors outlined the main provisions of the concept of socionical and spatial organization of significant size and diverse population composition territories. This concept is an integral part of a series of conceptual models of regional networks of architectural and urban heritage focuses. The substantive core of this concept is the model of socio-spatial zoning of Ukraine, which allows us to consider the cultural characteristics of four groups of ethnic regions – eastern, southern, western, and northern – from the perspective of ethnosocionics – a relatively new direction in the study of mechanisms of interaction between human communities. The eastern group was formed by Slobozhanshchyna, Donbas and Prydniprovye; the southern – Crimea and Tavria; the western – Podillia, Bukovyna, Zakarpattia and Halychyna; northern – Volyn, Polissia and Severshchyna. We investigated the locations of authentic elements of intangible cultural heritage and objects listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine, some landscape features, characteristic types of production activities, and approaches to organizing the urban environment. A comparative analysis of parts of Ukraine consisting of adjacent groups of regions allowed us to focus on the common features of adjacent territories that are correlated with different quadras. The analysis of non-contiguous quarters of the country's territory provides an idea of the differences between ethnic regions within each group, and also allows us to identify similarities between spatially close ethnic regions that correspond to a separate dyad of each of the adjacent quadrats. On the other hand, such an analysis demonstrates common features between those ethnic regions that are spatially separated and usually opposed. The analysis showed that the proposed model quite accurately describes the results of the organic combination of distinctive regional traditions within the framework of a single multifaceted culture of the Ukrainian ethnic group. This allows us to consider it as a promising tool for researching and forecasting the processes of sustainable development of territories and communities during the post-war reconstruction of our country.
