The Chinese Factor in Kyrgyzstan

In recent years, China has achieved significant results in the mastering of Kyrgyzstan's industrial potential and natural resources. The influence of Chinese “soft power” in the republic is growing. Security cooperation has become an important area of bilateral relations. Beijing has become an almost uncontested source of financial and other resources for the Kyrgyz leadership, which is trying to use them to solve social problems and maintain internal stability. As a result, Bishke’'s economic, primarily debt, dependence is growing, but the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to follow the same course. Therefore, Kyrgyzstan remains in danger of losing economic assets and falling into the sphere of political influence of China.
