Simulation of Organic Nano Medicine Based Paclitaxel Delivery and Tumor Reduction Using Python: A Brownian Motion and Time-Series Approach in PyCharm

The rapid advancement of nanotechnology and artificial intelligence (AI) has enabled transformative progress in drug design, delivery, and cancer treatment. This study explores the simulation of organic Nano medicine-based drug delivery, specifically focusing on Paclitaxel (C₄₇H₅₁NO₁₄), using PyCharm and Python. The objective is to demonstrate the targeted binding of nanoparticles to cancer cells and model tumor reduction over a defined treatment period. Leveraging a Brownian motion-based algorithm, nanoparticles are modeled to interact with randomly distributed cancer cells in a simulated tissue environment. Visualization highlights the efficiency of nanoparticle targeting by tracking the transition from free to bound states. Two Python-based simulations are implemented. The first models the spatial targeting of Paclitaxel-loaded nanoparticles (liposomal or polymeric carriers), showcasing the drug’s binding efficiency to tumor cells. The second simulates tumor shrinkage over time, replicating Paclitaxel's biological mechanism of microtubule stabilization and induction of apoptosis. Both simulations are executed in PyCharm, integrating libraries such as NumPy and Matplotlib for data handling and visualization. Additionally, this paper surveys a wide range of software tools used in Nano medicine R&D, comparing their applications, accessibility, and performance in modeling nanoparticle behavior. The research emphasizes how such computational tools benefit academic learners, researchers, and healthcare technologists in designing low-toxicity, targeted therapies. The simulated results align with real-world pharmacological behavior of Paclitaxel, where tumor size was reduced by over 59% within 30 days of treatment. This study demonstrates the potential of Python-based platforms for educational and preclinical modeling, offering cost-effective and accessible pathways into Nano pharmaceutical research and AI-driven drug development.
