SIMPLICITY THEORY FOR SYMMETRIC AND ASYMMETRIC COVERING MODELS IN PYT’EV AND SERRA MATHEMATICAL MORPHOLOGIES

The development of new models and techniques for morphological image analysis and the simplicity theory are presented. It is demonstrated that the simplicity theory approach can be extended to the models with directed structural relations. The asymmetric coverings are considered and the simplicity of shape models with directional relationships are defined. The asymmetric covering are considered and the simplicity of shape models with directional is defined. The formalism for the general case of covering morphology is introduced. Several ways to introduce the simplicity theory for asymmetric and symmetric covering models in Serra mathematical morphologies (MM) are described. For Serra-type morphologies the B-shapeness and B-simplicity are defined, in contrast to the previously introduced L-shapeness and L-simplicity in Hough-based morphologies.
