Parametrii pattern-ului respirator ca predictori în cuantificarea raportului simpatovagal
Two major variables in the series of breathing pattern (BP) parameters, rate and tidal volume, most influence heart rate variability (HRV), they can serve as predictors of the change in the sympathovagal balance in the low-frequency breathing pattern. We used the standardized values, obtained as a result of the descriptive analysis, of the BP parameters and the LF/HF ratio as one of the indices of the frequency domain of HRV, recorded in two respiratory pattern models - the resting breathing pattern and the low-frequency respiratory pattern pattern and the equal duration of inspiration and expiration, namely 5 s. We used the Backward method to establish predictors extracted from the BP parameters recorded in the two breathing patterns in order to quantify the role of each of the BP parameters in predicting the sympathovagal balance expressed by the LF/HF ratio of the HRV when the BP changes. The obtained results allow us to state that in the series of BP parameters recorded during resting and paced breathing, several factors can be extracted as factors that modulate the sympathovagal balance, and as predictors only the breathing frequency and respiratory minute volume remain, as they can improve autonomic balance at the expense of increased parasympathetic dominance.
