Labor Market Transformation and Economic Development of Russia

The paper considers the issues of labor market transformation in the context of global demographic and economic challenges. Special attention is paid to the assessment of the consequences of uncontrolled migration and unbalanced pension policy. The interrelation of demographic processes, employment and macroeconomic indicators is analyzed. The article substantiates the need to revise monetary policy and develop mechanisms of state support aimed at boosting birth rates and sustainable development of human capital. The author provides international comparisons and quantitative estimates that confirm the conclusions drawn.
