Memristor Adaptive Control of Radio Power Transmission System with Constant Power

Wireless power transfer (WPT) system has significant nonlinear and time-varying characteristics. The traditional PID controller is difficult to deal with the uncertainty and external disturbance of the system because of its fixed parameter settings, resulting in the control effect is not ideal. To solve this problem, a self-tuning PID control method based on neuron weighted tuning function is proposed in this paper. This method utilizes the memory effect and synaptic like characteristics of voltage type memristor to realize the automatic adjustment of PID parameters. By analyzing the weighting process of memristor, a control strategy which can update the weight in real time according to the system state is designed. The experimental results show that compared with the traditional PID controller, the memristor based self-tuning PID controller has better performance in minimizing the output tracking error, and significantly improves the anti-interference ability and robustness of the system.
