Enhancing Video Smoothness in Cloud Desktops: An Improved Compression Framework With Adaptive Fast Search Algorithm
Cloud desktop is a remote desktop service that provides computing and storage capabilities at a remote server. In the interaction between the client and the server, the cloud desktop video screen with complex and frequent changes cannot be smoothly presented on the client. Firstly, the JPEG image compression used in the video transmission of cloud desktop is difficult to handle a large number of cloud desktop video frames. Secondly, the video compression also needs a lot of coding time, which is difficult to ensure the real-time requirements of cloud desktop. Therefore, in this paper, we will improve the image compression of cloud desktop video and propose an Adaptive Fast Search (AFS) algorithm based on the X2GO KDrive protocol, which uses the AFS algorithm to solve the coding efficiency of video compression. Experiments show that after the improvement of the video image compression method and the improvement of the AFS algorithm, the coding time of the video image is reduced and the coding efficiency and video smoothness are improved while ensuring the quality of the picture.
