Reliability Evaluation of Cloud Service Networks Considering Data Loss
To evaluate the data transmission ability of a cloud service network under uncertain environment, the network is modeled as a multi-state network model, and a method is proposed to assess the reliability of cloud service network considering data loss. Network reliability is defined as the probability that the data delivered to each client device are sufficient to satisfy the demand when network has stochastic transmission capacity and data experience loss during transmission. Using the concept of minimal path, a reliability model is established and an effective calculation method is designed. Finally, the numerical results show that data loss could have a negative impact on the reliability of a cloud service network, and the impact is more significant under higher demand level.
