Photochromic Adhesives from One-Step Deep Eutectic Polymerization of Heteropoly Acids and Cyclodextrin
Heteropoly acids and cyclodextrin are selected to construct bulk adhesive materials with photoresponsive function. The noncovalent interactions between heteropoly acids and cyclodextrin generate strong adhesion capacity (>4.0 MPa). Heteropoly acids act both as the essential building blocks for the adhesive formation and as the stimuli-responsive units to realize photochromism. Photochromism originating from the redox behavior of heteropoly acids endows supramolecular adhesives with rapid, reversible, and effective responsiveness, which is used to realize information encryption and anticounterfeiting.
