Onychomadesis Induced by Varicella Infection – A Case Series

Onychomadesis is the separation of the nail plate from the nail matrix, commencing at its proximal end as a consequence of arrest in the growth of the nail matrix. There are very few reports of onychomadesis following varicella. Here, we report four cases of generalized vesicular eruption diagnosed as varicella, who presented 4–6 weeks later to our department with onychomadesis.
