Introducing Communication and Change: a journal for empirically grounded communication research and theory

As the founding Co-Editor-in-Chief of Communication and Change (C&C), it is both an honor and a personal milestone to introduce this new platform, dedicated to advancing understanding of human communication through rigorous, transparent, and innovative empirical research.This journal is born from a core conviction: that theoretical advancement must be rooted in observation, testing, and systematic analysis, not ideological alignment.At C&C, we strive to ensure that the pursuit of understanding remains open, constructively critical, and evidence-based.Yet, within the broad sweep of communication studies, our focus is distinct.We stress the unique research opportunity afforded by our current moment in history, brimming as it is with singular opportunities arising from people's participation in digital technologies.
