ANALGESIA PARA O PARTO VAGINAL

This study aims to analyze the main analgesia strategies used during vaginal delivery, focusing on evaluating their efficacy, safety, and impact on maternal experience. Based on an integrative literature review, studies published between 2015 and 2025 that address pharmacological methods, such as epidural, spinal, and combined analgesia, as well as non- pharmacological techniques, including continuous support, relaxation methods, hydrotherapy, and transcutaneous electrical stimulation, were selected. The results indicate that epidural analgesia remains the most widely used and effective method for pain relief during vaginal delivery, although integrated approaches that consider the pregnant woman's preferences and the clinical context may provide better results in terms of satisfaction and safety. It is concluded that personalizing analgesic strategies and strengthening evidence-based protocols are essential to promote more humanized and safe deliveries.
