Collective living: balance between the public and the private
This paper examines the architectural development of collective housing from the 19th century to the present day, reflecting changes in socio-economic and cultural conditions. It examines key types of collective housing, including phalansteries, communal houses, new housing, co-living and co-housing, with an emphasis on their architectural features and the influence of external factors such as industrialization, political course and technological progress. The study is based on historical and comparative analysis, which allowed us to identify the relationship between architectural solutions and social demands. The results obtained can be useful for the development of modern residential complexes focused on the balance of personal and public, environmental friendliness and social integration.
