Ecocardiografia na avaliação cardíaca de pequenos animais: aplicações, benefícios e limitações
Echocardiography plays a fundamental role in the non-invasive diagnosis of heart diseases in small animals, providing a detailed assessment of the structures and functions of the cardiovascular system. This study reviewed the literature on the use of this key diagnostic tool in veterinary practice, highlighting its main diagnostic applications, along with its benefits and limitations. Future research should continue to explore technological innovations to overcome current limitations and enhance diagnostic accuracy, thereby contributing to improved patient outcomes and quality of life. It can be concluded that the expanded use of echocardiography contributes significantly to effective clinical management, positively impacting patients' survival and well-being.
