Utilization and Performance Evaluation of Conventional and Ultrasensitive LH/FSH Testing
Objectives: Luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) are measured in settings such as early or delayed puberty, surveillance after chemotherapy, and workup of other endocrine disorders. Immunoassays to quantify LH and FSH lack harmonization and can differ in analytical sensitivities. The current study aimed to evaluate appropriate utilization of ultrasensitive LH and FSH tests.
