DESAFIOS E PERSPECTIVAS NA FORMAÇÃO DE TRADUTORES E INTÉRPRETES DE LIBRAS

The training of translators and interpreters of Libras represents a strategic field for promoting inclusion and linguistic rights of the deaf community. This study addresses the main challenges and perspectives related to this training, with emphasis on the professional and academic qualification of these professionals, which still faces curricular gaps and a lack of ongoing training. It also discusses the ethical and practical dilemmas in working in different contexts, requiring technical preparation and cultural sensitivity. Public policies and legal frameworks, although they have advanced, still lack effective implementation and monitoring. The training of interpreters is essential to guarantee the inclusion of deaf people, especially in educational environments. Finally, it explores the role of digital technologies and resources, which can enhance learning, as long as they are accessible and well applied. The study reinforces the importance of solid, critical and contextualized training so that interpreters act ethically, effectively and committed to social inclusion.
