Priority areas of digital transformation of the agrarian economy of Russia

The article shows the evolution of the development of the concept of «digital transformation» in the works of economists and the impact of digitalization on business, public opinion and the inner world of a person. The need to clarify the categorical apparatus when studying the impact of information technology on the development of society is substantiated due to the complexity of forecasting digitalization processes over a long period. The effectiveness of digital transformation of production is proven using agriculture as an example. The role of the state in this process and the conditions for obtaining a transformation effect are shown.
