"I like black bread from the neighborhood of cornflowers". The idea of oikos and the variety of its depiction in the poetry of Antonina Zachary-Wnękowa
<ns3:p>The idea of oikos, inherited from antiquity, has found many applications in the modern world. This term referred to the Greek home, which was the first and most important living environment of the human family. He offered whatever was necessary for the community to remain prosperous and safe. Two important terms were created on the root oikos: economy and ecology. The first refers to the art of property management, the second to the relationship that living organisms have in their natural environment and what they have with it. The metaphorical understanding of the oikos allowed us to identify it with the concept of nature as man’s home, with which he has a strong bond. The poetry of Antonina Zachary-Wnękowa is the apotheosis of oikos understood in this way. The aim of the article is to analyze poetic images of the natural world that combine important religious, ethical, deontic and ontological content. Through them, Zachara-Wnękowa shows modern man his place in the oikos of nature, deeply aware of the threats posed by the civilization of the 20th century.</ns3:p>
