Cytoskeleton is a great journal of any work characterizing cytoskeletal proteins, but had been largely focused on eukaryotic Cytoskeleton.Around the same time as we were ready with our manuscript submission, we became aware of a forthcoming special issue-"Cytoskeleton of Prokaryotes and Cellular/ Eukaryotic Organelles" by Cytoskeleton. We thought our work, ranging from the in vivo experiments to the in silico analysis with an additional angle of drug resistance was a perfect fit for the themed issue. Moreover, previous experience of my PI, Dr.Ramanujam Srinivasan, of the constructive and speedy review process with the journal, also prompted us to submit our work to "Cytoskeleton". | Would You Briefly Explain What Your Research Lab is Studying? My research lab primarily focuses on key bacterial processes such as DNA partitioning and cell division, particularly exploring Cytoskeleton assembly and dynamics. In addition, we aim to discover new compounds that target these cytoskeletal elements as potential candidates for novel antibiotics.
