With the increasing integration and expansion of the global market, cross-cultural product design (CCPD) research has gradually shifted from a single-culture perspective to multicultural integration, emphasizing the impact of cultural differences on product design and exploring the innovative application of cultural elements in design. In order to deeply explore the development trend of CCPD field, this paper takes Web of Science core database as the search source and analyzes the data from 2004.1.1-2024.11.1 by CiteSpace6.2 R7, VOSviewer and other related visualization tools. The study shows that the number of articles issued in this field has shown a fluctuating upward trend over the last 20 years and has gone through three stages of development. The country with the largest number of publications is China, and Univ Oxford is the core institution in this field with a large influence. Research hotspots focus on 1) Product Design and Consumer Behavior Determinants, 2) Cross-cultural consumerism, 3) Cross - Cultural Marketing and Product - related Strategies, 4) Cross - Cultural Marketing and Product - related Strategies, and 5) Cross - Cultural Marketing and Product - related Strategies. Cross-cultural factors have become a key entry point for product design, and CCPD has more strategic significance and broad development prospects in the era of globalization.
