Design of Flower-pressing Products with Huayao Cross-Stitch Patterns Based on the Kano Model
This study responds to the call for rural revitalization, aiming to meet users’ needs and enhance user satisfaction, by innovatively designing the Huayao cross-stitch patterns in the field of pressed flower art in Hunan. The research primarily utilizes the Kano Model along with the Satisfaction Index (SI) and Dissatisfaction Index (DSI) to classify users’ needs and clarify key design directions. Through functional, aesthetic, and distinctive design elements, the study innovates Huayao pressed flower cultural products. At the same time, through detailed users’ feedback, the study establishes the prioritization of needs, and creatively designs and upgrades the product and service from perspectives such as personalized experience and folk cultural features. Ultimately, the study results in the creation of commemorative pressed flower artworks and DIY courses that embody ethnic characteristics and regional traits. This research provides theoretical and practical support for the inheritance of Huayao ethnic culture and the implementation of rural revitalization strategies and offers valuable insights for the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese culture.
