A ATUAÇÃO DA FISIOTERAPIA NA REABILITAÇÃO DE CRIANCAS DE 8 A 12 ANOS COM LESÃO DO LIGAMENTO CRUZADO ANTERIOR (LCA)

This study analyzed the role of physical therapy in the rehabilitation of children aged 8 to 12 with ligament injuries resulting from playing soccer, investigating the main methods used and their effectiveness in functional recovery. The factors contributing to the occurrence of these injuries were explored, considering biomechanical, physiological, and environmental aspects, as well as identifying the main physical therapy protocols and evaluating preventive and rehabilitative strategies to optimize a safe return to sports activities. The objective of this study was to analyze the role of physical therapy in the rehabilitation of children aged 8 to 12 with ligament injuries resulting from soccer, identifying the methods used and their effectiveness in functional recovery. This study was conducted through a bibliographic review, using articles published in the last five years from databases such as PubMed. The reviewed studies indicated that factors such as joint instability, neuromuscular deficits, and inadequate training load are the main contributors to ligament injuries in children playing soccer. Physical therapy protocols involving muscle strengthening, proprioception, and functional training were found to be effective in rehabilitation, allowing for a safe return to sports. Additionally, incorporating preventive strategies into youth sports training, such as neuromuscular programs and biomechanical control, significantly reduces the incidence of injuries. It was concluded that physical therapy plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation of ligament injuries in children, being essential for restoring joint stability and preventing recurrences. However, the scarcity of specific studies on the topic represents a limitation for defining standardized protocols. It is recommended that future research explores advanced methodologies and the impact of technologies such as robotic physical therapy and biomechanical sensors in the prevention and rehabilitation of these injuries.
