Study of the effect of interfacial fluorination of pearl layer on the insulating properties of polypropylene films
Abstract Polypropylene (PP) dielectrics are widely used as the core component of film capacitors, and their insulating properties have an important impact on the energy storage density and safe and reliable operation of the capacitor. In this paper, inspired by the pearl layer of the shell, the self-assembled pearl-like shell coating is composed of sodium-based montmorillonite and polyvinyl alcohol organogel to improve the insulating property of polypropylene film, and supplemented with low-temperature plasma fluoride modification technology to regulate the interface inside the pearl layer. It was found that after plasma fluorination of the interface, the breakdown strength was increased by 2.45% relative to the modified film without interface fluorination, with little effect on the flashover voltage. In this paper, the internal interface of the shell layer is regulated by plasma fluorination of the filler, and the impact of fluorination of the interface on the insulating properties of the modified film is investigated.
