Effect of sintering temperatures and Al2O3 content on the properties of aluminum oxide diffusion-reinforced copper
Abstract In this paper, two methods, namely ultrasonic pre-dispersion synergistic ball milling and powder metallurgy, were used to prepare aluminum oxide diffusion-reinforced copper (Cu-Al 2 O 3 ) materials, respectively, to explore the differences in the organizational structure, mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of the materials under different Al 2 O 3 content and sintering temperatures. The results show that both the amount of Al 2 O 3 added and the sintering temperature affect the properties of Cu-Al 2 O 3 materials. Upon comprehensive evaluation of the conductivity and hardness of dispersion-reinforced materials, it was observed that when the Al 2 O 3 content was set at 0.4 wt.% and the sintering temperature was maintained at 900 °C, the hardness increased while the decline in conductivity was relatively slower.
