Analysis and optimization of bus body structure

Abstract This article mainly analyzes the body structure of a passenger bus and proposes optimization measures. First, we established a finite element model of the bus body structure and then applied loads on the finite element model to calculate the stress distribution and deformation of the bus in a fully loaded static state. Second, based on the calculation results of the finite element method, a test plan for the actual bus was formulated, and the accuracy of the finite element model was verified by the test results. Third, based on the theoretical and experimental analysis results, optimization measures for the body structure of passenger vehicles are proposed, including the adoption of closed-loop structures, the use of mechanically stable structures, the application of special-shaped beams, and the use of symmetrical and evenly distributed rod structures. After the optimization and improvement, the bus body structure becomes more optimized and reasonable.
