Home Automation, Voice, and Entry Network

The rapid advancement of smart home technology has driven the development of increasingly sophisticated automation systems that improve energy efficiency, convenience, and security while seamlessly integrating into daily life. This paper presents an intelligent home automation system, called HAVEN, designed to manage home appliances using voice commands. HAVEN integrates natural language processing with advanced image recognition algorithms to deliver safe, user-friendly, and accessible smart home solutions. A key feature of HAVEN is its ability to use facial recognition technology for efficient home entry, whilst being a part of a voice assistant smart home system. This research discusses the system’s design architecture, implementation challenges, and solutions to ensure scalability, reliability, and responsiveness. The preliminary test results demonstrate that the entry system provides a 95% accuracy rating, acquiring the rating by taking a photo of an individual and then running the entry program with the acquired photo. The system successfully integrates voice recognition and voice-to-text translation. This project promotes ongoing work in smart home technology that focuses on system scalability and user experience optimization. This study highlights the potential of AI-driven technologies to redefine modern living and addresses practical considerations for their application in the real world.
