Nonlinear Excitation of Broadband Harmonic Oscillations in THz Gyrotrons via Enhanced Frequency Multiplication With Azimuthally Segmented Electron Beam
We propose a novel scheme for the nonlinear excitation of broadband frequency tunable high-harmonic oscillations in terahertz gyrotrons via enhanced frequency multiplication by using an azimuthally segmented electron beam. The proposed approach allows the generation of third-harmonic ten-watt 1.2THz radiation with continuous frequency tunability, paving the way for the development of gyrotrons with higher frequencies and higher harmonics.
