Cervical Pathology Associated With Multiple Sclerosis Therapies
The use of certain disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) to treat multiple sclerosis (MS) may reduce immune protection against viruses. Infection with human papillomavirus (HPV) can lead to cervical pathology and cancer. Because HPV vaccine uptake is low in some regions including the United States, there is a need to clarify whether MS DMT use could increase risk of cervical pathology.
