ENTRE SOCOS E CHUTES
Fighting, as a subject of Physical Education in schools, is little explored due to inadequacies in teacher training, scarcity of resources, and stigmas that associate it with violence. However, there is a growing interest in this practice, driven by the media and the popularization of combat sports. Thus, this study aimed to gather and analyze articles published in the CAPES Journal Portal between 2019 and 2024 on the teaching of fighting in basic education using a systematic review, conducted by the PRISMA strategy and selecting 11 scientific studies. The results highlight the benefits of fighting and that its effectiveness in implementing in the school curriculum can be enhanced by the use of methodological approaches such as opposition games and by strengthening the continuing education of teachers. It is concluded that fighting is a powerful educational tool, promoting ethical, social, and cultural values, contributing to the comprehensive education of students.
