Coherent diffraction imaging at PAL-XFEL: multiplex imaging endstation and nanobeam X-ray experiments instrument
Coherent diffraction imaging (CDI) is a powerful technique for uncovering the structural details of non-crystalline specimens and serves as a key scientific focus at PAL-XFEL. To support cutting-edge research, we have developed a versatile endstation capable of integrating three complementary X-ray techniques: small-/wide-angle X-ray scattering and X-ray emission spectroscopy. This combination provides a holistic understanding of complex systems. In addition, the Nanobeam X-ray Experiments (NXE) instrument has been installed, enabling advanced experiments with nanofocused X-rays. The NXE instrument achieves higher flux density, facilitating high-resolution imaging and expanding the capabilities of XFEL-based studies.
