Noise reduction and wavebreaking control in Raman backward amplification via multi-pump lasers
Raman Backward Amplification (RBA) is a promising technique for generating high-intensity lasers by transferring energy from a pump laser to a seed laser in plasma. However, conventional single-pump RBA methods require long plasma lengths, leading to noise buildup and reduced stability. In this study, we demonstrate a multi-pump approach using PIC simulations, achieving comparable amplification over significantly shorter plasma lengths. The multi-pump configuration reduces noise buildup and mitigates wavebreaking effects through slight frequency detuning, enhancing both stability and performance. These findings highlight the potential of multi-pump RBA for stable and efficient high-intensity laser amplification.
