Cloud platform-based space application ground data system for China’s space station engineering
<p indent="0mm">This paper designs and develops an advanced ground data system based on a cloud computing platform to meet the complex requirements of the production, quality control, management, sharing service, and research and application support of thousands of mass data products in China’s space station. 1) This paper analyzes the technical requirements of the ground data system for the whole link of space station application mission downlink data from processing and product production, data management, data product distribution, and shared service. 2) It introduces the characteristics of the phased implementation of the space station application mission and the overall design of the ground data system’s software/hardware architecture, functional composition, internal and external interfaces, etc. 3) Key technologies such as high precision and fast processing of large-scale downlink data and product production, concurrent task scheduling and control, efficient management of massive and multiple types of data, visual intelligent analysis of data, and large-scale data online sharing services are elaborated in detail. Since its deployment in 2021 with the launch of the Tianhe core module, the system has successfully supported various missions, including the Wentian and Mengtian laboratory modules and the Tianzhou series cargo spacecraft. Thus far, it has archived and managed more than 1000 types of space science and application data products with about 0.5 PB and provided scientific and experimental data sharing and services for about 1000 data users in hundreds of scientific experiment teams. It provides important technical support and guarantees for scientific research and achievements in various fields during the construction of the space station.
