Semantic-etymological analysis of the street names of the Hamburg- Altstadt district of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg

<ns3:p>The article consists of two parts. The first one will present a historical outline of the Hamburg-Altstadt district. The second part presents a semantic and etymological analysis of the district’s street names. The analysis was based on the Kwiryna Handke model, which was modified. 102 street names of the Hamburg-Altstadt district were analyzed. Kwiryna Handtke’s model was expanded to include subcategories resulting from the specificity of the material being examined.</ns3:p>
