Modeling the process of developing speech competence in future educators during English language classes using digital educational resources in a distance learning format

The aim of the study is to design a pedagogical model for the development of speech competence among future educators within the digital educational environment of a university. The article examines key regulatory and legal documents that define the legal framework for implementing distance educational technologies in the Russian Federation, and identifies the specific features of developing students’ speech competence in the context of non-contact interaction among participants in the educational process. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the development of a pedagogical model for the development of speech competence in future educators during foreign (English) language classes using distance learning technologies, based on the analysis of current trends in the digitalization of higher education and the systematization of domestic and international research experience in the development of foreign language communicative competence. This model is exemplified by the profile “Pedagogical Education (with two training profiles) (Russian language and foreign (English) language).” As a result of the study, an optimal selection of the content of the structural components of the pedagogical model for developing students’ speech competence through digital educational resources was carried out.
