Network Analysis in Global Emergency Medicine: Mapping Collaborative Structures and Enhancing Connectivity
This study uses network analysis to enhance the digital connections of emergency medicine organizations globally, focusing on the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM). The research utilizes a four-step methodology—web crawling, content filtering, geolocation, and network visualization—to map the relationships between emergency medicine groups worldwide. Results show 156 unique URLs from initial 4,775 links, spanning organizations across 55 countries. Key findings demonstrate the value of network analysis in improving global emergency healthcare collaborations and identifying unlisted member organizations. This research paves the way for broader applications of digital connectivity in healthcare.
