Lightweight design of palletizing robot body parts based on Altair inspire

Abstract With the development of industrial automation, palletizing robots have been widely used in many production lines. To reduce the cost and quality of the robot arm, improve its performance, and reduce energy consumption, lightweight design has become an important research direction in recent years. Using Altair Inspire software, the arm structure of a load-handling palletizing robot was studied, and the palletizing robot arm was lightweight and designed with the minimum safety factor, maximum displacement, and maximum Mises stress as the optimization objectives. The results show that through the optimization design process, using topology optimization, structural analysis, and other methods, the arm mass is reduced by 74.63% while ensuring the strength and stability of the parts.
