Spatial Distribution of Shipping noise in the South China Sea
Abstract It has been of great interest to investigate the spatial and temporal distribution of shipping noise to understand its impact on the ambient noise level. In this paper, based on the automatic identification system (AIS) of ships, we study the spatial and temporal statistical characteristics of the ships in the South China Sea, including the regional differences in the distribution of ships, the length of the ship, and other statistical laws, and based on Bellhop3d, we study the influence of complex terrain on the radiated noise of ships.
